Virginia Lodge joined FSI as CEO in 2012 following a distinguished career in government and politics. In her first 18 months at FSI, she in conjunction with CDO Brian Hadfield led a corporate turnaround of the 20-year-old supply chain operation, resulting in market stabilization and increased revenues and profitability. In 2016, she became the equity owner of the company.


In 2014, Virginia was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on the board of directors of the Tennessee Valley Authority, one of the top 10 utilities in North America for economic development leadership and results. She is responsible for establishing strategies and long-range plans and policies of the TVA.


Prior to joining FSI, Virginia was a cabinet member for former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen’s administration, serving as the commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Human Services. In this role, she transformed and streamlined a struggling department into a highly performing, nationally recognized service provider.


She is also active in numerous civic organizations. Most recently, she has been involved with STEM Preparatory Academy, is a member of the International Women’s Forum and serves as trustee of the Andrew Jackson Foundation. She is a champion for education, having served as the vice chairwoman of the Nashville Library Foundation and the vice chairwoman for the Harpeth Hall School board of trustees. A Maryland native, Virginia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii, a master’s degree in English from the University of San Francisco, and an MBA degree from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
